On Tuesday, March 25 at 10:45am, a three-judge panel from the 4th District Appellate Court will meet at Illinois State University's Bone Student Center to decide whether to grant DNA testing that could change the course of Jamie Snow’s case.
Jamie has maintained his innocence since his 1999 arrest for the 1991 murder of a gas station attendant in Bloomington, Illinois.
Despite his first DNA motion filed in 2010, no physical evidence from the crime scene has ever been tested.
Now, with modern forensic technologies available, Jamie is seeking analysis of blood, bullets, fingerprints, and the victim’s clothing—evidence that could provide fresh insights into the case.
Represented by the Exoneration Project from the University of Chicago, Jamie’s case has drawn national attention as a potential landmark in the fight against wrongful convictions. This hearing is a critical opportunity for advanced forensic science to bring long-awaited clarity to a decades-old case.
The event is open to the public. Doors close at 11am so come early to secure your seat!
